She did a great job tackling science topics, ranging from invasive plants to the evolution of mating strategies in fish, for Ohio University's research magazine, Perspectives. Her reporting is thorough; she has a wonderful voice and flair for storytelling. She also worked well with the editor (me) on these pieces. I would definitely work with Mary again. I've also been impressed with Mary's new publication, Get Out! She gave an excellent talk at my magazine journalism course about the realities of starting your own magazine and what it takes to launch a business.”
-Andrea Gibson, Director of Research Communications, Ohio University

“I have hired Mary to write research and other papers for me and also to provide editing support. She has done a great job with every task I hired her for. She meets deadlines, is detail oriented, is an excellent writer and editor, and a great problem solver. She has been a great help for me.”
-Sarah Dewees, Director of Research, First Nations Development Institute

“Mary is an excellent editor. She offers constructive comments that tighten and improve a story. She's always willing to brainstorm ideas and discuss questions. As a freelance writer, I appreciate that she is an approachable and available editor."
-Michelle Anderson, freelance writer and contributor to Get Out! magazine
